Every year, the Commission awards outstanding individuals in the community. These awards recognize outstanding achievement in promoting public awareness of heritage and the arts, lauding exceptional commitment, education, contributions, and projects to the Tiburon community.

Community Educator Award

To recognize excellence, growth, support and accessibility in heritage and arts education by an outstanding educator in the Tiburon Peninsula community, who has left an indelible impression on the community and is to be honored for creativity, inspiration, and hard work. 

The nomination process is conducted in the spring and an award ceremony reception is held in May.

Heritage Preservation Award

To recognize outstanding achievement in preserving the Tiburon Peninsula's prehistoric and historic properties. To promote public awareness in historic preservation, to laud significant contributions and exceptional commitment in historic stewardship, and to recognize projects of excellent quality.

The nomination process is conducted in the autumn and an award ceremony reception is held in September.
