Join us for a virtual community workshop on Mobility & Noise on Tuesday, March 22, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The March 22 workshop will discuss transportation conditions and mobility priorities in Tiburon relevant to updating the Circulation Element of Tiburon's General Plan. Register in advance for the workshop here.
The Circulation Element identifies transportation goals and policies to ensure that transportation and land use decisions are coordinated, while ensuring a balanced, multimodal transportation network that meets the needs of all users of streets - including bicyclists, children, and persons with disabilities, motorists, movers of commercial goods, pedestrians, public transportation, and seniors. The transportation system plays a key role in determining the community's character.
The Circulation Element identifies the location and extent of existing and proposed transportation routes, major streets, bikeways, and transit terminals, and identifies relevant standards concerning street design, traffic operations, and parking. It also identifies circulation improvements to include in the capital improvement plan and recommendations to relieve traffic congestions, facilitate alternative transportation, and encourage electric vehicles.
The March 22 workshop is an opportunity for you to provide your input concerning key mobility concerns and priorities in Tiburon and to provide your recommendations concerning desired improvements and/or refinements to the Town's adopted goals and policies, programs, and planned physical improvements identified in the Circulation Element.
In addition, the workshop will provide information on existing noise conditions relevant to the Noise Element and gather feedback on noise issues to address in the General Plan update.
