A general plan is a town's roadmap for the future. It describes a community's long-term vision and sets forth goals, policies, and programs to manage growth, direct land use decision making, and preserve the environment and character of the community.
For the last several years, the Town has been in the process of updating its General Plan for next 20 years (aka Tiburon 2040), and the draft chapters (elements) are now available for public review. Please note that these documents are still in draft form and are in text only. Maps and figures will be added when the entire draft General Plan Plan is released in mid-January 2023 with the draft Environmental Impact Report.
Review the drafts (createtiburon2040.org). Questions should be directed to Director of Community Development Dina Tasini at dtasini@townoftiburon.org.
