The Tiburon 5k/10k race is back this weekend! There will be traffic control, road closures, and detours in place downtown on Sunday morning to accommodate the beginning of the marathon course. The race starts at 7:30 a.m. Closures and traffic control will begin in the area at 5:00 a.m.
Beach Road between Tiburon Boulevard and Main Street (by the post office) will be closed between 5:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. on race day. The inbound lane of Tiburon Boulevard will be closed from Mar West Street (near the library), through the downtown area, and on Paradise Drive up to the Mar West Street intersection (near the sanitary district building) between 6:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. A detour will route inbound drivers around the race course through Mar West Street.
Please pay attention to detour route signs and flaggers to assist you in safely reaching your destination. The remainder of the course will be on the Old Rail Trail. Drivers utilizing San Rafael Avenue to access Belvedere may experience some delays, but there will be no additional road closure in place.
