Starting Tuesday, February 21 through Friday, February 24, contractors working for PG&E as part of the Hawthorne Utility Underground Project will mobilize to install new electric conductors and equipment at locations along Tiburon Boulevard between Palmer Court and Rock Hill Road. Hours of work on Tiburon Boulevard will between approximately 8:30am and 3:00pm.
During this work, a detour will be in effect on Tiburon Boulevard between Avenida Miraflores and Rock Hill Road routing traffic through the adjacent neighborhoods to in an attempt to minimize backups. Emergency vehicles, public transit, and traffic local to the area (Palmer Court, McCart Court, Bayshore Terrace, Belvedere Tennis Club) will be able to access the area normally.
Although contractors and town staff will make every attempt possible to have the work completed in the most expeditious manner possible motorists should plan to expect backups and longer than normal travel times through the area.
The Department of Public Works appreciates everyone’s patience and understanding as this critical infrastructure project progresses through the next phase of construction.
