Zero Waste Marin is running a pilot program with Mill to offer Marin residents an easy way to deal with food scraps. Mill is effortless and odorless, helps keep your kitchen clean, and helps Marin County keep organics out of landfills.
The Mill food recycler is an alternative to standard kitchen compost pails for collecting food scraps at home. Zero Waste Marin is evaluating if food recyclers help to increase participation in composting food scraps. (Inclusion of Mill products in this pilot program does not constitute an endorsement by Zero Waste Marin)
Up to 125 Marin residents and organizations will receive a free Mill food recycler (retail value of $999). You may be eligible if you are either:
- A low-income resident (single- or multi-family housing)
- A non-profit organization serving Marin
