On June 17, 2020, the Town Council adopted Resolution Nos. 22-2020, 23-2020, and 24-2020, calling for a general municipal election to be held in the Town of Tiburon to elect two (2) council members on November 3, 2020. The individuals elected will serve for four-year terms, until 2024. 

To become a Town Council candidate, you must be over 18 years of age and a registered voter in the Town of Tiburon. The nomination period for the November 3, 2020 election was July 13 - August 7, 2020. At the close of the filing period on August 7, there were not more candidates than offices to be elected. Therefore, the Town Council met on August 19, 2020 and adopted Resolution No. 37-2020, cancelling the November 3, 2020 General Municipal Election and appointing the two persons nominated to office.
