Schedule an Inspection
To schedule an inspection, please call the Inspection Line at (415) 435-7380 and leave a message. In your message, please include the following information:
- Site address
- Permit number
- Type of inspection requested
- Preferred date of inspection
- Preference of AM or PM inspection window
- Contact name and phone number
Beginning Monday October 6th, 2025, the Building Division will no longer be calling with two-hour inspection windows. All sites with an inspection window of 8-10 a.m. will continue to receive a phone call prior to the first inspection of the day.

Types of Inspections:
Depending on the scope of your project, the required building inspections may be as follows:
- Preliminary inspection prior to permit issuance (as required by the Building Official)
- Footing and foundation inspection
- Concrete slab and under-floor inspection
- Frame inspection and close-in inspection (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing)
- Energy efficiency inspection
- Lath and gypsum board inspection
- Other inspections (as required by the Building Official)
- Special inspection (see Tiburon Special Inspection Form and List)
- Final Inspection
